Donald Cohen 2010-04-27 03:49:57 EDT I'm not sure, but I think this was working again a while ago and now is breaking again. Bug Zapper 2010-04-28 06:28:49 EDT This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '11'.
Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 11 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events.
Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here. Donald Cohen 2010-05-19 13:38:44 EDT I just notice that this bug has not been updated to reflect the following: Date: Thu, 6 May 2010 17:42:42 -0400 From: Deepak Bhole Thanks for the reproducer. I have committed a fix upstream.
The next time Fedora synchs, it should be fixed: ==== I don't know what exactly it means for Fedora to sync or how long it takes. I noticed the last time I did yum update Updated: 1:java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-38.b18.fc12.x86_64 but the problem is still there for me Is the fix supposed to be in this version? If not, when should I expect it?
Donald Cohen 2010-06-22 14:16:48 EDT I've now done an update and received Jun 22 10:57:29 Updated: 1:java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin-1.6.0.0-39.b18.fc12.x86_64 (along with several other related openjdk packages with similar version #s) and I get the same error, or at least a very similar one. Is this version supposed to have the fix? Chris Shucksmith 2010-07-12 08:01:46 EDT Same issue with fc13 + OpenJDK Web Start running an application (ie. Donald Cohen 2011-02-16 20:41:20 EST I'm now getting the same thing (different line#s) in fc14. Should I be creating a new bug or reopening the old one? This happens in both firefox and chrome. Donald Cohen 2011-06-23 14:53:17 EDT While we're at it, does this problem have anything to do with the following error that I get when I try to run the same applet another way?
Omair Majid 2011-06-23 16:30:47 EDT (In reply to ) >I'm still getting this same error - when should I expect to see the update >above and how will I recognize it? >I seem to be now running: >Mu Tron Bi Phase Manual there. OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.9.8) (fedora-53.1.9.8.fc14-x86_64) >OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode) This fix is only in Fedora 15 for now (in icedtea-web). Could you please try the applet with Fedora 15? Fedora 14 does not have icedtea-web yet, though we are considering adding it.
It may be too intrusive to add - the upgrade path from java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin to icedtea-web is a little tricky. Donald Cohen 2011-06-23 17:29:06 EDT ok, now on fc15 (had to figure out how to install icedtea and then plugin) I get a different problem here.
I don't see how to get a console so I run firefox from a shell. I got some popups about network failures (last packet sent 0 ago) and about relogin, so there are probably several copies of what you want below. Donald Cohen 2011-09-15 17:48:10 EDT I'm guessing that reopen means set status to assigned, but am I also supposed to set 'resolved as', and if so, to what? Currently I get this when I try to login to (just click on login) java version '1.6.0_20' OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1. Babies R Us. 9.9) (fedora-54.1.9.9.fc14-x86_64) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode).
