Celebrating its rich history as America’s premier concert boys’ choir, The American Boychoir has long been recognized as one of the finest musical ensembles in the country. Capitalizing on its trademark blend of musical sophistication, spirited presentation, and ensemble virtuosity, The Boychoir performs regularly with world-class ensembles and artists. The Boychoir's standing as preeminent ambassadors of American musical excellence is maintained through an extremely busy touring schedule both nationally and abroad and through frequent television and radio guest appearances. Boys in fourth through eighth grades come from across the country and around the world to pursue a rigorous musical and academic curriculum at The American Boychoir School in Princeton, New Jersey. A women's ensemble dedicated to small ensemble singing in a setting where every voice matters. Our focus is a cappella music written for treble voices drawn from the sacred and secular classical repertory, ranging from chant to new commissions. We have a three concert season with programs in September, January and June and do other concerts as the opportunity arises. We have 6 rehearsals in the three weeks prior to each concert and require strong reading skills and a willingness to work hard. We also offer numerous solo and one-on-a-part opportunities in each program.
Directed by Colin Britt. Ars Choralis is dedicated to celebrating the human spirit through song. Its membership is drawn from the greater Hudson Valley community. The chorus performs an eclectic repertoire, from choral masterworks to chamber music from all periods, to new commissions, contemporary gospel, jazz, folk and pop. It is known for innovative programming, weaving together choral music and the spoken word into an artistic expression of its own, often with an overarching social consciousness. Ars Choralis follows a three-concert season, performing in December, March and June, often in collaboration with other choruses, area orchestras, chamber ensembles, dance and theater groups.

Now, more than fifty years later, Ars Musica is recognized as one of the most accomplished choruses in the area and continues to offer singers the opportunity to perform a wide variety of classical choral music. Members of Ars Musica can expect to be welcomed into the tristate’s warmest choral family. Ars Musica performs four concert programs per season of challenging and rewarding choral works in some of the region’s most beautiful venues. Directed by James Kennerley.
The Bach Choir was founded in 1968, in conjunction with Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. It features renderings of the cantatas of J. Bach on their appropriate liturgical Sundays within the service of Vespers, as he presented them himself. Bach Vespers was the first, and is the longest-running series of its kind in this hemisphere. The choir is comprised of professional singers from the NY region, and along with the Bach Players (on Baroque period instruments) it is considered one of the finest early music ensembles in the nation. Their season runs from late October through Easter, occurring weekly on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM.

Known internationally for their eclectic and irreverent Barbershop interpretations of a range of popular music, the Big Apple Chorus has received numerous awards, is a nine-time finalist in international competition, and has performed in Russia, Canada and throughout the United States. The chorus was founded in 1949 and has been performing in its current form since 1983.
Locally, they are known for their Christmas performances at South Street Seaport and numerous shows at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Directed by Jack Pinto. The Brooklyn Community Chorus is an independent community choir in Park Slope, Brooklyn, open to anyone who loves to sing a variety of music, both sacred and secular, classical and popular, historic and contemporary. We draw our conductors and soloists exclusively from within the chorus and from the local community; and our choice of repertoire is often determined by popular consent of the group rather than imposed by a single music director.
It is this spirit of democratic community that makes the Brooklyn Community Chorus unique, and a truly community organization. In addition to our full concert in June, we perform at various community venues and events throughout the year. All ages welcome, no auditions needed.
