Posting ONLY your e-mail address without leaving a comment will NOT be tolerated. It's not hard to say 'Thank you' or something else along those lines, but do NOT just put down your e-mail address, or you may be passed over.

This is a forum after all, so please post comments and discuss the music that you have downloaded. If you never post in the thread I may remove you from the list.

DO NOT come in the thread complaining that you aren't getting the emails anymore if you've been sent links for all these albums and haven't bothered to post anything! If you would like to contribute, please upload using one of these services: Yousendit has the best download speeds but the links expire after 100 downloads. If you upload something for the mailing list, it would be helpful if you'd please include a description of what you've uploaded as well as the links. Reviews and links to band websites are great to go with an album. Please at least try to include the genre!

YouSendit Download Manager You can use most download managers when downloading files from YouSendIt. You can use YSIGet Download Manager. That has a TON of upload site get-around and everything. For the nubs who say they dont know how to upload/send music, i found this 1. Put the CD you want to upload in your CD drive.

Open up Windows Media Player, WinAmp, iTunes, whatever you may have that can rip (copy) CDs (I prefer Windows Media Player, and that's what the rest of the steps will follow, but that's just me). (there's a whole crapload of settings to set here. If you're using Windows Media Player, go to the Tools dropdown menu, and select Options. Click the 'Rip Music' tab, if you're using the most up-to-date version. Here, you can change where your music will be stored, along with the file types and so on.

It will be defaulted to save them to My Documents My Music; feel free to change it to wherever you want, as long as you remember where it is. Under 'Rip Settings', I'd suggest changing it to mp3.

Under 'Audio Quality', move the slider bar over to 192 kbps or higher; this isn't exactly necessary, but is a good medium range. Exit out of the Options menu). Click the 'Rip Music' tab. All the tracks will be checked when you insert a disc you haven't ripped tracks from. You can click the checkboxes off if there are any tracks you don't want to copy. Once yuo've got all the tracks you want to copy checked, click the 'Rip Music' button over near the top left side.

Wait a little bit for it to finish ripping the CD. For me, it usually takes about 10 minutes or so for a standard CD. Go to the location you just copied the music to.

Select the folder of the album you want to upload. Right-click on it; if you have Winzip or Winrar, a few options will come up: 'Add to [folder name].rar' (for Winrar) 'Add to [folder name].zip' (for Winzip) Select either one of those 8.
